Samsung Smiley problems?

Well i got some pictures on my phone i really wish to have as my wallpaper, but every time i set the image as wallpaper, the image appears larger then it was, almost as if it was zoomed in, if that makes any sense, do you know how i can fix that so the image does not appear larger when i set it
