I bought my wife a Samsung SL605 digital camera for Xmas. Its a sweet little camera for the price, and does pretty much what I expected out of one in this price range. There is a problem that I can't seem to figure out. The camera works fine until you try to zoom in. Once you zoom in 3x, the camera turns off. You reboot it, and try again, and it continues to turn off when zooming in. I can zoom in 2x and no problem, but once I go to 3x it shuts off.
Has anyone heard about or had this experience and can give me some insight? If there isn't a quick-fix, or maybe if samsung won't repair it since its under warranty, then I'll just take it back to Best Buy.
