samsung series 6 tv fault...?

I have a 37" samsung series 6 lcd tv and when you are watching the tv, it just switches the picture to a black screen when ever it feels like it the audio stays on though. Then if i turn the tv off then back on the picture comes back on. It might do this 20 times in an hour or it might do it 2 times in one hour.
Iv'e tried samsung but they are not interested as the tv is 2 years old . Is this a common fault? Has any one else had this problem? And if so what did you do to get it sorted ?. Any info would be great

i forgot to mention tv is running on standard scart through sky + tv and has had this problem for about 2 months now and all leads have been changed
 
Did it just start doing this? Possible things you can do. First, unplug it for about 10 minutes, replug it see if it helps. If you are using HDMI or whatever cables you are using, while the tv is unplugged, also plug and unplug the cables at both ends to be sure they are in tight. Sometimes the HDMI or other port can be dying. If none of the above works, try using red/green/blue component cables instead, they provide equal pic to HDMI and can be substituted if your HDMI board is failing.
