My sister and I both bought the same phones (Samsung Rant (m540)) a few months ago. Yesterday she called me and mentioned that her phone was stuck on 'silent' mode, even though the volume appeared to be turned up in full. This morning I woke up to my alarm vibrating, not ringing, and realized that my phone was also stuck on silent mode but showing the volume up in full.
Any idea as to a) why we're stuck in silent
b) how we should go about fixing it? Removing the battery and resetting the phone were of no help.
c) why would both our phones, in two locations, do this at the same time?
If this keeps up for more than a day or so I'm taking it back to the dealer.
