samsung messager r560 problem. please help guys!!!?

i have a samsung messager r560 and i have the $60 plan which includes everything. i try to log on my instant messager and everytime i put in my password and click sign on a message pops up saying. TIME OUT: NO RESPONSE FROM IM SERVER. SELECT OK TO TRY AGAIN OR EXIT. and everytime i try again to sign on the same message pops up. i already spoke on the phone to a metropcs support team and they cant seem to find the problem. please someone help me!! thank you
