Samsung Instinct Flashed Internet?

I just got a Samsung Instinct flashed with cricket service. Does anyone know if its possible to get wap/internet to work on this thing? Is anyone up to the task of trying?

i dont think its possible.... but i have tried.

generally the only sprint u can get full features on are the pda/smartphones unless flashed to another carrier first.

dont think its happeniong in the masses yet. Instinct runs with Power Viusion internet connections- not PDA type connections.

Power Vision, from what I have read, has been a pain the the a$$ to get around. I'm sure there may be a few people who know how to do it, but I do not suspect we will see a easy to follow tutorial on it anytime ion the near future

So theorecticly, you could flash it to Verizen, get internet working and then flash it to cricket. Using Verizens internet?

well i dont have an instict but couldnt you do it like how you would do a verizon ohone.. just edit the PST settings in QPST??
i think that could work but then again.. i dont have an instint to mess around with..

and another thing would be how to get across the IOTA that all sprint phones do...

And im like 99 percent sure you will not be able to get MMS... heck iono if that phone even supports MMS on sprint..

It's a happy day today :buddies: after a month of trying every single guide on the internet including the one here about changing the the 2 profiles under the M.IP and then going to PPP and making sure that in the UM and AN Taps it had our phone # @mycricket.com for both standard and tethered and removing all IP addresses and after all this manually programming the user name as follows:

user name: [email protected]
SPI MN-HA: 1234
SPI MN-AAA: 1234
M Home Addrss: 066.179.166.148
Prim Ha IP: 010.000.005.021
Sec Ha IP: 010.000.005.022
Rev Tunneling: OFF
AAA Passw.: cricket
HA Passw.: cricket

Done Reboot

and again the ##3282# for the browser

And you still don't get nothing even if you do the nslookup and get the ns2.mycricket.com server address

Well I tried and tried and and up almost selling this damm phone and just getting another one :doh:

well I ended up at a frienRAB place where he does this for a living and he's good at what he does the only problem is that he said that he was going to charge me to do this :goodness: :crying: I said ok go ahead and after only 5mins of having my phone he calls me and he sayd here DONE I looked at the phone and it was running the internet, I typed in ebay,yah**, google etc. and it sure was up and running WEB he looks at me and tells me not to quit my day job at that moment I was like :goodness: so I went into the ##3282# and checked all settings and saw that he had put the settings as follow:

so basically this covers the manually programming part of it, but I aslo noticed something different, you know when you go into the regular (Main Tap) settings of the phone under general and phone info we can see the MDN and MIN or MSID under this we have Version this is where I noticed another difference on the:
PRL: 01039 (old even after cricket's flash) now I have 38540 wow what a difference he changed the PRL
Applications:
Email: 6.9.3.377 (old after cricket's flash) now it says Email: (nothing there) he took this off
Voicemail: VN.4.1.0.21 (old after cricket's flash) now it says Voicemail: (nothing)
Navigation: 2.1.0.25 (old after cricket's flash) now it says (nothing) also took off
I have under Music: 2.2.38 / SprintTV: 3.0.31 / Live Search: 1.70.1 / Pocket Express: 1.0.8

in some other phones this info may be the same or different by just one digit not a problem

All info still the same as other phones I say this because I have another one flashed but not yet active

All I can say is that I'm going to try and read the phone hope he didn't put any bobby traps and copy the PRL and also all settings which later I will gladly provide PM me if you want or e-mail it's ok.

what if I plug my phone, and see no ip address to begin with? can i still set up the internet. Everything is clean under qpst when i read the phone, their are no ip addresses at all.
