Samsung I5700 Galaxy Spica says disconnected battery when i try to charge

it,what should i do,heeelppp !!? Hi I just got a new Samsung I5700 Galaxy Spica yesterday and the battery ran out. When i tried charging it,it started vibrating and there was a message on the screen saying Battery Disconnected,I tried taking the battery out and putting it back in but i got the same result.It also wouldn't switch on, surprise surprise :D Please Help me,what should i do,and has anyone else had this problem before ??
 
It means your battery is so far drained that it cannot power your phone. Keep it pugged in, it will continue with that message until there is enough of a charge to start your phone. after about an hour it should be fine and your phone should charge as normal.
