Samsung ES55 digital camera LCD screen broke!?

I have a Samsung ES55 digital camera. The LCD screen is cracked but I could still use my camera. However I think its now on video mode and because I cant see the screen, I cant go back to picture mode. Does anyone know if I cant reset the camera or give me instructions to change it back!Id really appreciate it, thanks!
 
You know, I read where someone has a broken LCD screen, almost everyday on Yahoo Answers. I don't understand, I have 3 digital's rangeing from six years to 3 months old and none has a broken LCD screen. Maybe because I use a neck strap and the neck strap goes around my neck as I pick up my camera every time.

Are you one of the "fashionable young people who carry their camera in their hand with the strap dangling down at their side in open space? I hope not!

Sending the camera to Samsung is your only option. Ask for an estimate, be prepared to consider buying a new camera when the estimate comes through.
