Samsung D900 VS Sony-Ericsson W810

I can't decide between these two phones. Both the d900 and w810 are quadband and autofocus and can take decent pictures. The megapixels don't really matter to me. The d900 has a better video recorder (CIF) and is much thinner, but I have no experience with sliders and am iffy of its durability or feel. The w810 has nice buttons and is walkman capable and I like the fusion white color more than the black only of the d900. It is also thicker and a candy bar so would probably be more solid.

Which phone should I get?

The main difference I am considering the d900 is because of the CIF video recorder as opposed to the QCIF of the w810. I think this feature is pretty useful, especially for youtubing. However, the w810 can serve as a good mp3 player and probably doesn't have a proprietary headphone port? Another issue is that my previous phone, a RAZR V3i, didn't feel right in the hand and had hard buttons to push because it was so thin. The d900 is even thinner. Will this pose as a problem also? Or was this just a RAZR flattened metal thing?

Please help me decide.

I have the w810i now and I am very satisfied with it and all it's features but I think I will go over to the d900 for the slick design. Does anyone know how the mp3 on the w810i compare to the d900 because the w810i's mp3 player is AMAZING and I want to know if the d900 is anywhere near that.

D900 has limits on number of playlists and songs that can be fitted into each; 4 playlists (or 5, forgot) and 30 songs each. Headphones are proprietary, but you can get a 3.5mm jack on eBay for cheap. Build quality is absolutely excellent (I have a thing for sliding the thing every second :P and dropping it everywhere on everything.. pavement namely and it still looks minty). The buttons are comfy, other than the middle Internet button. If you're looking for a music phone, cross this out, but for something flashy and nice, along with a handy and good camera, you can't go wrong. Just remember that the phone *only* takes Sandisks.

I don't really care about the playlists..I just have all tracks together. You're saying it's really good quality and all and than you said not to get it if you're looking for a mp3 player phone...why so if it's good quality?

Um, I said the quality of the phone is superb. The D900 isn't an mp3 phone; you're completely missing the point here. And for the playlists, each playlists can only handle 30 songs, ala if you have more than 120 songs then you're pretty much stuck with playing them off the file folders, aka. annoying.

I would pick the w810i. I have owned both phones and I prefer the w810i over the d900. Although both phones are quadband, I had noticeably better reception with the w810i than the d900. For me, the dealbreaker was the weaker reception on the d900.

The W810i is pretty much the swiss army knife of phones right now, it can do anything. Excellent pic quality for a cell phone, Music, video is alright, Quad Band, great reception, EDGE, MS Duo Pro expandable to 4GB right now, great aesthetics/form factor.

Only thing about the W810i is that it's more or less a year and a half old phone, practically the same phone as the one it replaces - W800i.
