samsung bluray remote stopped working afte firmware update?

my 2 day old samsung bluray player p3600 askes me to update the firmware, once i updated it, the remote stopped working. but, i can still control the bluray playe with the tv remote.

i unplugged and plugged it back in and the remote woked untill it turned off, now it doesnt work again...

is there anything i can do besides unpluggin it everytime i need to use it?
 
A total reset might work. Power on the blu ray and hold down the fast forward button for 5 seconds. Then go back in the menu and put in the language and settings just like you did when you fired it up for the first time.
They have great online support if that doesn't fix it.
