Wassup stackers? I love my BB but i have recently been thinkin about switching to the new T-Mobile Behold. Does anyone own one of these or have had the chance to play with one? I'd really like some feedback. Thanks in advance!

My gf got one a couple of weeks back. So what do you want to know and I will try to get you the answers. She likes the Behold. She went from the Pearl to that. She has long fingernails so she really likes the touchpad as its easier for her to type. The interface is kinda neat too. I havent played around with it as much as she wont let go of that long enough for me to play with it. lol

I would like some info as well if anyone has. My room mate has a Pearl and is seriously considering getting one. I've played around at the store, and I like the feedback of the touch screen. It actually vibrates when you press a "button" on the screen, and you can change the sensitivity of the vibration feedback.

I think the main selling point for me is that it's got a 5mp camera (!!!).

Interface is nothing special, looks pretty I suppose. However the biggest limitation of the behold is it's 3rd party apps. I don't think there's many if any at all. :/

Anyway that's all I know from fooling around with it at the store and asking some questions for the reps. If anyone has more info please let us in on it!

I agree with Absolved as I havent found any third party apps for the Behold or any sites to change the themes or the icons. Thats one thing she misses on the Behold that the Pearl could do.

The software that came with it is also not as good as the DM in my opinion. Another thing is that it has a proprietary connector and I dont care for that. The BB's have the mini din connector which is good. The unit doesnt also have a regular headphone jack and you have to hook it up to the connector.

The battery power is decent. I am on Tmo as well and when I get 4 bars of coverage hers will show maybe 2 or 3 so thats one issue.

It does feel pretty solid to hold and looks well made but I am not going to give up my blackberry yet.

thanks for the feedback! keep it comin! i guess one question i would have is, how is the ringtone volume on it? the volume on my pearl is way too low even when set to the highest level. thats a big issue for me.

i used 2 samsung smartphones before going to blackberry. personally i don't think i would ever go back however i really liked the samsungs while i was using them.
as far as 3rd party apps...what platform is this phone using? if it's WM there are tons of 3rd party apps out there.

overall it looks pretty slick ....but it's no BB. get a storm and unlock it..

The ringtone volume is ok. She has to set the profile to Outdoor in order to hear it if its in her purse and the text notification is really low. She is very frustrated on that one as she cant set the volume and the Outdoor profile sounds the same as the Normal one. She has tried to change it to a different ringer for texts but it always reverts back to the default one.

Its not running WM I think its Samsung's own software.

but storm doesn't use sim cards right so for example i have tmobile if i unlock i would not be able to use it please prove me wrong cause then i would love to get one lolz...

This is the first and ONLY phone that's not a BB that even is SOMEWHAT tempting to me as well. I saw one in the store, and it seems VERY neat! Go to a local corporate store and play around with it. VERY nice!

that said, I won't get rid of my 8120. hehehe..

I know everyone hates the 'my friend' line, but I gotta let you know. A buddy of mine got the behold about two months ago, about the same time I got my 8830. He absolutely HATES it. He played with my phone a couple days ago and he's fixing to shell out the 'full retail price' for a curve. ItKs a neat phone to play with, but I'd NEVER leave my BB for anything else.

i use to have pearl then i switched to g1..which i have to say im happy about. i bought a behold from my friend because he was selling it for cheap. I like the behold for the camera and the looks. it doesnt come even close to the g1. if you like simple touchscreen and good music player behold is for you. if you like a phone that make your friends jealous G1 is the way to go.
