Samsung Alias wap trouble

Is anyone else having trouble with this phones wap settings? I have mms going good, but cannot get web. I have read all the steps, and still nothing. Any advice?
 
check your proxy settings. your 1x/ev settings are good if MMS is going through.. that happened to me when i first set up the u740 i had. i think i had to go back and re-set the proxy settings from the hanRABet after i did everything else.
 
also check what is the exact error message generated when you browse? that can also diagnose where the problem is lying...
 
I dont know if you have tried this or not but I know that when I flash the Alias I set the hompage to: http://www.google.com/gwt/n If I try and set the homepage to the Cricket homepage I always get some timeout error or something but when I set it to that address I just mentioned the web works just fine.

Another thing thats not mentioned in the u740 thread, make changes with QPST FIRST!!! Then SPST, then from the phone. If you make changes with SPST followed by QPST any changes you made with SPST will revert back to Verizon.
 
that's good to know... when i did it i re did the settings so many times and a lot of it probably had to do with not doing it in the correct order.
 
I had refreshed my account 5 times. I have unlimited plan. I will try to reset phone and try to setup again. Lets what gonna happen. What does the mean when it says connection lost??
 
Yes I have had that issue many times...every time that happens I do master reset on the phone then redue the settings and it works.
