Samsung Alias texting problem?

I have a problem with my samsung alias regarding text messaging... I do have unlimited... When i text verizon people they receive my messages and respond... when i text one person though we start texting back and forth and then the conversation just seems to drop i always wait until it says message sent and then if not i resend it but i still get nothing back and this also happened about a year and it was with a verizon customer... Any ideas?
 
maybe if u went to a verizon store and see what the say i think i no wat u are saying this happens to me too i hav the allias2
