Same problem before with dog grooming business?

This woman has sent me emails concerning the contract: free 1st month rent, advertising for MY business, told me to buy insurance. I have spent over $600 and now this woman wants me to come get my stuff tomorrow and I feel she has violated a verbal contract, of which I have email proof of. Do I have any recourse? She is upset b/c I told her this dispute about the hours is going to have to be resolved, and I told her a rental agreement/lease/contract was going to have to be made and signed b/c she keeps switching up on me with hour arrangements.

Not a good idea to start a fight when you don't have a written contract.

Verbal contracts are hard (or impossible) to enforce unless you have "solid" proof; and there is no warranty that your emails are enough to support your claim.

You can try to sue if you want but it's going to cost you more than $600 and the case could take months or years. On the meanwhile she can kick you out while the court review your claim.
