Saltwater Tank Fish only vs Fish only With Live Rock?

i was wondering what are the pros and cons for a fish only vs fish only with live rock tank? and what are the price differences going to be doing it in a 55 gallon tank or a little smaller. thanks i would appreciate as much going in detail as possible THanks will choose best answer
