I'm planning to take out around 9 or 10 thousand dollars to cover living expenses while I go to community college. My school doesn't give out tuition refunds until November, though, but I need that loan money to pay for rent. Does anyone know if Sallie Mae disburses the loan amount directly to the student, or do I have to wait for the school to give me the refund?
