Sailor Moon #5: Because someone needs to stand up to the negaverse.

I haven't seen the first one but have seen the S and SuperS films. They do have their moments though but not by so much.

The subplot of Luna being in love with the human...I kinda agree that I could've done without it but when I watched the space scene of her talking to Kakeru (I think that was the guy's name) in the English version, it just didn't sound right at all.
 
I completely agree with that statement. Sailormoon is the only anime that seems to be the universal watch for anime fans.
 
True that. It's been fourteen years now. Which I still find pretty damned amazing on how much time had actually gone by.
 
They probably don't because of how old Sailormoon is. They did years ago when I bought my first two there.

She's got nothing on Terri Hawkes. But I wouldn't say she was horrible. She was just a complete departure from the DiC Serena. I kinda got used to her after the first 8 episodes.
 
Man, they don't have that over here. I mean, we have an anime con but I don't know if they sell those sort of art books.
 
Loved the first one! Glad the first time I watched it it was subbed. It showed me what I'd been missing out on, with the subbed version of the show in general. The Moon Revenge sequence is probably one of my favorite moments of the series ever.

The second. I'm indifferent, to be honest. The whole subplot with Luna being in love with a human, I coulda done without. I also felt it lacked the epicness and character development that the first one had.

The third. A bit better, but like the actual season I felt it was too centred on Chibi Usa, who I honestly don't mind as a supporting character. Plus the outers just seemed to show up out of no where, with no explanation for why Pluto was back.

I guess I'm just not crazy about movies where the story doesn't focus on the title character. That's where the S and SuperS movies failed in my eyes.

Never watched Dragon Ball Z. But I've been thinking about watching Cardcaptor Sakura.
 
I thought they were okay. I would have liked to see the outers used more in them.
 
I think I now have all the series of Sailor Moon on DVD. StarS is a hard one to find, mostly because every time I bought of them, they usually skipped in my DVD player. I am not sure if it's the DVDs or the player it's self. Weird, huh?
