Sahara

4 out of 10. Structurally messy with nowhere near the wit it shoud have and generally underwritten characters (which you don't expect once you see the opening shot full of character exposition; you expect to see quite a bit but that doesn't happen). It's laid out to be the start of a franchise in the last scene. It may squeeze one more out if the script is better but without an improvement in the writing, it hasn't got a hope.

I have to agree that this was a very average film and both me and my friend agreed that National Treasure was a lot better film!
This film is full of cliches and there is no chemistry between McConaughey and Cruz which is very surprising that they are together in real life!
In fact I think that there is much more chemistry between McConaughey and Zahn than McConaughey and Cruz in this film!
I left the cinema feeling very disappointed by this film!

Its exactly what you expect it to be if I'm honest, sub Indiana jones pap...
Slow, predictable, shody script (how they can make Steve Zahn not funny is almost impressive!) not a patch on National Treasure and that wasn't a patch on Indiana Jones...

I really wanted to enjoy it but it just refused to let me. Perhaps if I was 10 again it would have done somthing for me, but I didn't feel like it was ment to be a kiRAB film anyway...

It felt like Cruz's storyline about the killer virus was out of a completely different much more serious film to start with until that got caught up in the mess that was the main story in the second half.

In short, I was quite looking forward to an evening of uncomplicated cinema fun and came away feeling like I was dissapointed on every level.
