You aren't kidding, I rode in a Poker Run for charity a couple month's ago. A Lady on a SE RK rode in front of me. She had a D&D Fatcat on her bike. It was taking my ear drums for a ride...LOL. Soon as I got the chance, I got in front of her. I've heard some good reports on the TTS Mastertune, Good Product!!
 
I was at a Dealer last week talking with the service manager about pipes for my RK. He suggested the V&H Pro pipe 2into1 to 1 He claims it's as good if not better sounding and cheaper than the D&D....Don't know?
 
I haven't heard one yet. I have heard the D&D with the quiet baffle and it is pretty tame. The reason I went with the D&D is the low end torque.
 
Well just went and took it for a 18 miles test run and she sounds great! I did notice better throttle response. The engine never felt to hot but I'm going to let her cool down and check the plugs.
 
You'll more than likely be ok with the stock filter. The ECM will adjust some. Heck, I had a friend in Richmond Va. that ran Stage1 A/f slipon's and a mild cam with no tuner. The Dealer told him it would be fine. He said the ECM will adjust. My RK is running great and getting good gas mileage with the FL-XIEDS from niterider. I've been meaning to call Steve and talk with him about the limit I can go with them. He's Steve Mullen INT.
 
My dad has the xieds on his heritage with just true duals and his runs great. I'm going to pull the plugs on mine in a little bit. I just got back from a beer run to put a few more miles on it.

Oh and how long is it going to take before it quits smelling like new exhaust? Stinks.
 
It will be fine. The ECM will keep the AFR the same as stock. The D&D's will flow easier, but it won't make much difference when the intake is limiting the amount of air the engine gets.
 
I thought that was probably the case. Thanks you guys for the info!

Now I need to go ride and get rid of the new smell! I keep finding myself riding around singing the old Skynyrd song "OOO OOO THAT SMELL"! Trust me it aint pretty!
 
A lot of guys will say your fine cause they are repeating what they hear, I know and can tell you from watching a friend do this that it heats it up more and he ruined his heat shields.. I ran my bike for a day with just the pipe and immediatly noticed more heat.. Also his plugs were pure white.. And contrary to what I've seen people here say White is not what they should look like. Thats lean, should be tan..

Get the AC and a fuel managment system. SERT/ PC-V what ever.. Just dont bother with the HD ECM Flash.,.
 
Thanks for the info! I'm going to check the plugs and see how they look. My heat shields are black. Think they will change?

The reason I ask is because I want to go on a ride this Sat.. I'm tuning it next week?
