Saddlebags/ C50

I'm sure that this has been covered before, but where to buy and what is a good saddlebag to purchase for the C50 without breaking the bank? Also, wondering if the saddlebags interfere with the helmet lock or accessing anything else on the bike?

My C50T came with the OEM bags and they definitely do interfere with the helmet lock. I've seen several different methods of overcoming that, but so far haven't gotten around to implementing any of the options.

As far as not breaking the bank, that will depend on what kind of saddlebags you want. I have throwovers right now, they cost me $175, what I really want is hard bags, and those are $550-$650, from what I have seen in my research of them.

I have a set of TourMaster Cruisers. They come with rain covers and zip off real easy like. They have quick release snaps that hold them down on the saddlebag supports. A quick click and I can get at the helmet lock.
I got them for around 70 George Washingtons.

They have them at tonker.com here.

They are $116 there. I got them from the dealer I got my bike. Check with your local dealer maybe they can do better.

I just saw some SUZUKI branded hard bags on Ebay that sold for $360 I would wait and go for bolt ons myself... I tried some tourmaster throw overs a few days ago and returned them within in few hours... just my 2 cents :plus1:

another thing to watch for is the passenger footpegs being covered up , when my bags were mounted there was no room for the wife to use them, so took off the left side and switched it with the right side and used 2 chrome bridge nuts behind the pedal back 1 inch length, to bring them out past the the plastic cover, by switching the pegs from side to side it gives at least a 1 inch forward mount.
