Saddest tearjecker of all time....

I was just wondering what everyone thinks is the saddest scene in a movie. Mine has undoubtedly got to be the scene in The Champ, (with Jon Voight), where he has died after the boxing match and his son is crying, shaking him saying wake up daddy. OMG it's so sad

I'm not really sure because I cry at most films (including Monsters Inc, which I cried at three times), but my mum always cries buckets when she watches Truly, Madly, Deeply. I've never seen it though, so I don't know.

I may cry at a fair few films, but only ever on the first viewing. The one film that gets me everytime is Forrest Gump...I'm not even sure what it is but I always end up sat crying my eyes out by the end

The Colour Purple,
when the two sisters are seperated and then reunited at the end

Schindlers List always gets me too, not even the end but the scenes throughout the film, thinking what it must have been like for those poor people.

Watership Down, I only have to hear that bloody "Bright Eyes" song and I'm off

The Green Mile, the end always gets me.

When the mother abandons david in the wooRAB, I found that really distressing

I seem to remember AI was quite a tear-jerker but not seen it for a while. Also, Bicentennial man. I also found a couple of scenes in tears under the sun quite upsetting when you saw some of the villages, especially when you watch the extras and realise that some of the scenes were based on things that actually happened.

I hate to get all art housey, but Death In Venice is a real tearjerker film. I think partly because there is so little speech, but also the whole situation and what the guy is prepared to do for an infatuation.

I am also REALLY surprised noone has mentioned A Beautiful Life! What a film and despite being so full of hope all the way through, the ending is really really really sad

Elephant Man made me cry too. Also the film where a family move or something and their animals get lost and the kiRAB are sad and then right at the end the lame old dog comes over the hill. I can feel the tears coming on now just thinking about it, was it The Incredible Journey or am I getting mixed up.
