Both of these are due Feb. 15th. I will only get the "Volume 1" as IDK if "A Touch of Magic" will due repeat episodes.

Really? Who would have thought it! I thought this was a cute show back when it was on TV. I even liked the second series

They released this? How many fans are there of this series? Why not Recess? Awe wells, I enjoyed the show a bit myself, haven't seen it in a while. I'm trying to decide if I should buy it or not.

If you want to be technical about it, there were DVDs with a few episodes, like two or three, released by way of cereal boxes, and I think it was in every Kellogs brand, I have a disc of the series somewhere.

These will be worth getting if only because the theme song will hopefully be unbutchered. I think only the ABC 'One Saturday Morning' airings left theme song totally uncut.

The first cover looks pretty strange with all of the characters standing in the same pose like that but I guess this release didn't warrant any custom art.

It was a series that I never really minded. I always watched the episodes that got taped alongside the other shows in the Disney block, and I almost never felt the urge to fast forward through it.

Nice avatar you have there, Kuromi_Star. Courtney sure is a cutie! :anime:

Anyway, I thought this was a cute series, and there's a pretty good chance that I'll buy the volume 1 DVD set, sometime in the future. Besides, you can't beat having 32 episodes of a show, on DVD, for a list price of $14.99. :D

Now, I'm hoping that Mill Creek Entertainment will release the earlier seasons of PBS' Arthur series, on DVD, someday, since I believe that series is also owned by Cookie Jar.

The press release lists it as a "Best Episode" collection, so... yes, I'm sure there will be a few repeats here and there (if not entirely, as they may want to save the final 33 episodes exclusively for the Volume 2 set, or another "best of" collection in the future).

I didn't care much for the series when it spun off to Secret Life, with most of the TAS characters like Gem, Chole, and Pi gone from the series, and Enchantra not looking like her TAS counterpart. They never told us what happened to those characters, and the comics discontinued the Repulsa storyline. The series could have added a guest appearance by Archie and his friends.

I agree. It's like the change of King Neptune in The Spongebob Squarepants Movie and the shaman who gave Eliza her Gift of Gab in The Wild Thornberrys Movie. Those character changes were made and never brought up again in the remainder of the series.

Who was Repulsa? I remember a bit of TAS but there were a lot of characters that were thrown out and forgotten throughout the show up until Sabrina's Secret Life.

Speaking of both shows, I'm surprised that they're still alive and well on CBS every Saturday morning.

Repulsa was the Goblin Queen In the comics, that turned Sabrina into her animated counterpart. She was never mentioned again about ten issues later.

I still like to think that they'll explain that before the end of the series (since the movie is supposed to chronologically be the finale)...

I doubt that since SpongeBob's going through a ninth season and then some since the money for the merchandise continues to pour in Viacom's pot of gold. We probably have two King Neptunes or the one voiced by John O'Hurley was cursed with rapid aging to the one we saw in the film.

As for Repulsa, I wonder if she was the reason why Sabrina went to look like the way she is now in the comics which is based from Japanese anime and manga.

Well, I didn't mean I thought Spongebob was ending soon, I meant that I'd like to see that plothole explained eventually (I was hoping the Triton special would've had a side-mention that Movie!Neptune was, like, a cousin of TV!Neptune or something, but alas).

But that's a discussion for another thread on another board.
