S83 PAIR Valve removal

Where is the PAIR valve located on a S83 and what needs to be done to remove it? I am hoping removing the PAIR valve will stop the "popping" in the exhaust.

Unless you have a California model, there isn't one.

Drill off the EPA brass caps on the carbs and richen the mixture a quarter turn on both carbs, and it should run fine.

there is a site called Mocc's place that features an article on what the pair valve is and how to remove it. I believe they even sell a kit to do the job. I think it mentions the need to plug some holes and the kit comes with these plugs.

That's for the 1500LC/C90 and Marauder only, so it's not going to do him much good. As I stated above, the 1400/S83 does not have a PAIR valve unless it is a California model. That PAIR valve looking thing on the side of the S83's motor is a toolbox, so replace the one that used to be inside the sissybar when they removed the sissyber as standard equipment.
