S60v3: number of cal meetings on active standby?

Hey all you guys with new S60v3 devices -- how many future (upcoming) meetings does your device display on the active standby screen? And what device do you have, specifically (a screenshot would be rad ).

One of the most annoying things about it on my 6682 is that it never displays more than one upcoming calendar entry on active standby. So like if I have a meeting tomorrow and a dentist appt. the day after, I'll never see the dentist appt. until *after* the meeting before it is past. Obviously this sucks as a reminder to floss a whole lot more real quick that week.

Do you at least get 2 or 3 upcomings now on the new higher rez devices?

Life doesn't work like that. I like a reminder every time I glance at my phone of something happening in the near future that I normally would forget. Things like free movie night in the park, dentist appointments coming up, meeting a friend for coffee, buying someone a birthday present, etc.

Seeing only one near-upcoming thing at a time really puts a knacker on your ability to not forget, some of us have horrible memories.

the e61 only allows you to see one measily event on the screen?? i dont wanna pay 25$ to do that... theres no way to change it to 3 or something??

I'm bringing this post back from the dead. I'd really like to know how to get more calendar tasks on the front page.

I've been looking at Papyrus and AquaCalendar. Can these sit on the mainscreen and show whats coming up?

Also there was a solution in PyS60: Dashboard.

but now it looks like it's unsupported and defunct. Didn't work quite right when I tried it out.

That is one of the few things I don't like about my N73. I'd like more things to be displayed on the Active Standby. Not just appointments and stuff, but incoming text and e-mail (at least noting the sender of the message you just received).

One thing that can help is that even though it might only display 1 meeting, it will display 1 meeting, 1 to-do, 1 anniversary, and 1 memo at the same time. A little ingenuity and you should be good.

Good idea, but the only problem is I have to think about what is coming up and put what I care about in a different place to make sure it stays on the active standby screen. This means meetings aren't always calendar functions and then I have to prioritize... it gets confusing.

I didn't know S60 standby only let you see one item. That does kind of suck. Anyone try any of the third party software? I know Aqua used to sit on top on my old S60 phones, but I liked the layout and feel of Papyrus a lot more. I don't know how much things have changed in v3.

So you're saying that Aqua would sit on the main page? Instead of the active desktop? If thats true-- it would be exactly what I'm looking for.

A related question, is there an app that can change the profile of the phone (general, silent, outdoors) when an appointment is setup, so let's say it turns silent automatically during the meeting?

I don't think that AquaCalendar can "sit" on the Active Standby screen as Nokia had not released the neccessary API code to manipulate the active standby screen.

In other news, we've released a new version of Papyrus for S60 (v1.2.08).
