I have a N80 and was wondering what GPS programs are available for it for North America, especially Canada? Thanks.

I've looked into Route 66, but it only says S60v2, not v3. Anyone tried it? Or what are people using?

Wayfinder does not have support for S60v3, but they are working on it. They did not have any estimate to when it should be ready.

both Route66 & Navicore are now showing to work on the S60 v3 phones, not used them myself (well on v3) did use Route66 on N70 and it was good, not as good as TomTom but I can only imagine we will wait a long time for TT to sort out for v3.

Dear Sir,
Thank you for your interest in ROUTE 66 products.

ROUTE 66 Mobile 7 for Symbian s60 V2/3 versions is compatible with Nokia N80

You have to make sure that the software version of your Nokia N80 phone is 4.0623.0.41. Only then you will be able to use Nokia N80 with Mobile 7 S60 V2/3.

PS: You'll find that at this link, Nokia N80 is now listed!! Time to find an 66 Australian map

I've used Vito SmartMap, and with that, you can use an JPEG of an area where you will be travelling. SmartCom *should* allow you to "calibrate" the map. The only thing that it doesn't provide is routing capabilities.

If it allows for calibration, you'll need a GPS receiver and then you'd drive to two different places and place markers on the map for each of these. Vito SmartMap provides these kinds of features.

Most people should already know, but Route66 already has one out for S60v3. I'm using it right now and so far it is pretty good. The battery usage isn't too bad either.

Although the route searching is a bit odd, it seems to like to use small /side streets to get to a destination (ie going across one block, then down one, then across etc etc).

Anyone using this have a solution? Or is this happening in other programs as well?
