S60 w/bluetooth on Alltel

Hi, Im having troubles finding an s60 bluetooth phone that will work with Alltel - CDMA 1900 MHz.

Do you have some suggestions?

There are no S60 CDMA phones, period. The only thing even remotely is the 6638 (I think). Basically a CDMA version of the 6630.

Nokia doesn't like making CDMA phones because it means they have to pay excessive royalties to Qualcomm, which is like their archrival.

Sorry for the bad news. Are you absolutely stuck with AllTel?

Sorry bro, unless ur stuck on Alltell, then ur only choice is GSM. The only thing good about alltel anyway is the commercials!
 
yes, alltel pretty much sucks. but i live in northern wyoming so it alltel or verizon.

w/ alltell prepaid ($.75 / pay) I can route calls through my * box at home and pretty much get unlim anytime min for only ~$30. But is a pita, if i had a phone that could handle a 11 digit pin it would be nicer....

hey Rcadden, thanks for the skinny on Nokia/Qualqam. Nokia makes some sweet stuff. What about non nokia S60 phones? CDMA 1900 MHz?

Nope. I've never heard of a non-GSM S60 phone. The only ones that weren't made by Nokia is a Samsung from a while back, and the two new ones from Samsung and LG, due out later this year. Hate to say it but you might have to look for Winblows Mobile if you're wanting a CDMA smartphone.
