S50 passenger backrest

Anyone out there find a passenger backrest that will fit a 2008 s50? I have found some for other models/years but finding parts for the 2008 seems to be difficult. I know my wife will enjoy riding with me if she has the security/comfort of the backrest so I'm trying to find one for a decent price. If not I plan on figuring out a way to fabricate a detachable back rest. Any info will be appreciated.

The S50 and Intruder 800 are identical, so any sissy bar that fits the 800 will fit your bike. Used one can be had cheap on EBAY, as a lot of folks remove the one that came on the 800 to change the bike's looks.

I guess different strokes for different folks. :D Personally I wouldn't want a backrest on full time, for me it takes away from the look but I know... 'cause I've been told, that in order for my wife to ride with me she wants the pad. Good news is she doesn't want the rest on all the time either she thinks it takes away from the look as well. Did I mention... she picked the bike- I thought it was out of my spending allowance until she saw it and saw me on it! Sooo gentlemen, no matter what take your ladies to the dealerships, you never know what they might think!

I got mine at the local Suzuki dealership who was having an open house that day and gave me a 20% on one. Took about 20 minutes to put on. My wife wouldn't ride without either. Now I can't go anywhere with out, except work. If your local dealership is having a open house see if they are discounting some of their parts. Good luck.

the backrest can provide some sense of security but according to my wife it certainly is not comfortable!
I think it's the reason she started riding and now has her own bike! :)

I would take mine off but it is a great place to put my helmet.
