i got the 510g kit in my 95'. it turns on a little late but it scares the hell out of my boys when they think they left me and i run up on them like their standing still.

I've had the gear drive with 510g cams for about 10k miles on my 02 Road King Classic. I too noticed good power with hills/passing. I also had a Daytona Twin Tec fuel mgr installed and adj SE pushrods. I'm now getting ready to go to 95 big bore with keith black pistons with 9.8:1 compression. No head work planned at this time though. I'm excited to see how the bike is going to run. Never been on a dyno. Anyone else got this setup?

I have the 510 and a 103 in my 07. 20k miles and no issues, kinda looking for more power now but I dont want to loose my reliability.

I had the ss510 put in my03 flhtc a few months back and i must say if my mechanic had not have told me I had more power Im not sure I could tell much if any differance. I can attest to the fact that I didnt get 1200 bucks of extra power, and I had this bike two years befor I had the cams installed. The dino results showed about 8-10 increase hp.

Lucky you with your tensioners. Here's mine when they were checked and removed at 33k miles. The inner was shot. I decided to go to gear drive before I even checked them because I knew that I eventually would have to replace them. I never heard any unusual noises. Never cut open the oil filter either as I've read that some people do when they're looks for bits of the tensioner. I bought the bike with 22k miles on it.

The cams weren't that noticable on idle, but roll on power out on the highway is changed, you can twist the grip and feel it come on.

Same here, I've had this bike just over two years also. Bought it from a guy when it was essentily bone stock at 7000 mles. It's been changed around a good bit, look in my albums pics. But I've changed my oil every 3000 and just recently switched to Amsoil. But I ride fairly conservative.
