No for a few reasons.

1. Country music is, largely, controlled through one major metropolis. If Nashville doesn't approve, you're ****ed. With the alt-country groups like Son Volt, Wilco, Neko Case, and Ryan Adams, they went for the alt community. Some bought it, but the alt community is overly sensitive to things that don't fit the mold. Country has an especially high hill to clirab over since again, its about as close to a dictator as it gets.

2. My momma probably thinks I said Brian Adams.

3. The press in the U.S. give him massive praise as well. To play a stadium is a feat only few artists ever get to pull off. It probably won't ever be Ryan Adams.

I almost swore I posted here before, but even though i think he's an obnoxious moron, he writes some amazing songs. I think everyone and their brother covered "When the stars go blue" (The corrs with Bono recording was an amazing). I also like New York, The Hardest Part and Tina Toledo's Street Walkin' Blues. He's actually one of the better writers out there, I just wish he wasn't a vacillating moron when it came to interviews.
 
So essentially, nobody cared much about Cardinology huh? I listened to it once, maybe...he has a fantastic record of hits and misses doesn't he?
 
I don't know what you mean, but while I enjoy the song, its not really what I want to hear in concert.

Contemplation is for books. Concerts is to let go and enjoy yourselves.

I saw him open for Oasis at the Oracle Arena last wednesday, and it was kind of terrible. I don't think it was entirely fault, I think it was kind of a mix between me not particularly fond of this now long past Whiskytown pop sound, and terrible mixing.

I mean don't get me wrong, it was really nice to hear "come pick me up" live, which still gives me chills at the "smash all my recorRAB" line for some reason, but the mixing was so bad that I couldn't hear any word due to what seemed to be some sort of clipping. I was singing along to that song, and I think the people next to me were appreciative that someone was translating at least that one song for them.
 
Yeah what he meant was I miss EDGE because she was cute for a 16 year old and she was a massive camera whore who did the most juvenile things to get attention on this site.
