I am trying to sell my 2005 Mazda 3. The guy who was interested noticed that there was some rust forming in my trunk, near the spare tire section. To be honest, it didn't seem like a lot of rust to me. I remember one guy telling me that I could go buy sand paper and a rust spray, and it would wipe off.
But is he right to be concerned? I live in Canada, so it's always cold and snows a lot in the winter. Now he's saying that unless he knows the main root of the rust problem, he won't make an offer.
