I have no idea which song is from which album, but what I always liked about Rush is the time signature changes they have in their songs, since these changes keep me wondering about what will happen next.
Gedddy Lee & Neil Peart are absolutly amazing.
Rush is a fantastic band, 2112 is an amazing experience everytime i listen to it, which seems to be all the time.
Rush is one of the most influential banRAB of all time, in my opinion.
Rush is a pretty sweet band. Very overlooked imo @ my old high school there was pretty much just this one kid and me who liked them. Moving Pictures is pretty amzing.
Goody a Rush thread! I like The Trees, Tom Sawyer (of course), The Spirit of Radio, pretty much mainstream stuff, but my favorite song by them is YYZ from Moving Pictures.
I like moving pictures era rush. The new stuff just doesn't really cut it as much. Still a great band. Watching them live is pretty incredible. I saw them a long time ago with my mom on *i think* the roll the bones tour. Niel did a 15 min drum solo where his kit levetated off the ground and went upside down haha.
With the exception of "Counterparts" this is classic era Rush, also check out "Moving Pictures" and "A Farewell to Kings" The best two Rush albums along with 2112.
I love Rush. Despite it being corny at times, you can tell they have fun making music. And it's progressive rock with soul. Effort goes into the songwriting. They're all masters at their instruments. And the vocals are an acquired taste .
These banRAB listed are not really notable banRAB that are usually considered progressive rock, if that is what you are referring to in the above list? Motley Crue was a good band musically, for my taste, "but only if they had a different lead vocalist" other than Vince Neil.., I always liked a few songs by Thin Lizzy (classic), but the more popular progressive rock banRAB would be banRAB like.. Yes, Pink Floyd, Genesis, and Rush, before the peak of progressive rock in the '70s.
"I am not judging your musical tastes or opinion in anyway, your favorite banRAB are of your own personal preference and opinion".
