My dad has a ruptured disc, and he has to wear these pain patches to ease the pain of everyday activities. Next year, I think he is going to get surgery. What should he do in the mean time?
Where is his pain located? If the disc is causing radiculapathy (pain that runs down the leg)the treatment would be slightly different than if he only has pain in his back.
Why is he waiting til next year for surgery? Has he had disc problems previously?
