Running competitive outdoors: good clothing for cold weather?

I am a tall, teenaged girl running cross country in high school this year. The weather's getting colder and I have to keep running outdoors. So I figure I should get some nice, warm, good pants for running in. I'm thinkg spandex pants .. but I need help with brands, what to look for, etc. I'm looking at lululemon, but I'll have to order them in .. and am not sure how warm they'll be until I get them?

Any ideas?
 
Under Armour Cold Gear, Its light weight Spandex like gear it keeps you warm in cold weather. NFL, MLB, and many other sports teams including track & field...Its a bit expensive but, well worth it...
 
First off, I would wear shorts under it so you don't get hot- trust me, I know I do!Just wear sweatpants and a good jacket that lets your body get more air.
