Running/biking questions......?

I have been a runner for a few years now - used to run every day, but now run a couple of times a week when I have time. I also wanted to add more biking to my regime (so that I am running at least two days a week and doing trail biking at least two days a week). Yesterday I started trail biking with my new bike, so it has been a while since I've ridden because my old one broke. Anyway, today I am extremely sore. I had been planning on running later today. Would it be better to still run or to take the day off from strenuous exercise? I just don't want to risk an injury that would make me have to wait longer.
 
You are most likely sore because you are using muscles that haven't been stressed by running. That is the good part of cross training.

If so, you won't harm them by running but you might want to keep the workouts mild until you can tell that you are not doubling the workout on a few muscles.
