hi i'm 20 years old and i plan on joining the Army once i finish my degree in criminal Justice/ Law Enforcement, i should have it done by the fall of 2010 if i play my cards right. I want to join the infantry with an Airborne slot and shot at RIP. However, if i don't make it into the Rangers i wouldn't have a problem being a Screaming Eagle like my grandfather was in the 101rst or being sent to the 82nd. I'm not accepting defeat already by saying that i wouldn't mind being in those other two divisions but i'm just looking on the bright side in case i fail.
Anyway my question is in regards to running. When I started out running again in May it took me a pathetic 18:45 to run two fucking miles. But I stuck with my work outs and what do you know as of last week i ran my two miles in 13:51. however this morning i did it in 14:20.
My current running work out consist of: Monday= 2 mile timed run
Tuesday= off because i start school at 9 am and don't get out until 8:30 pm, Wednesday= 4 mile run, Thursday & Friday= 5 mile run, and then Saturday and Sunday off because i have work all day.
i was thinking that maybe i should run everyday Monday-Thurs so that i could give my body the 3 day break to heal up or is that a dumb idea. So please if i can get some advice from Army Soldiers, Marines, etc that would be awesome. Thanks
other PT scores as of today
Push ups 2 mins: 75
Sit ups 2 mins: 80
Chin ups: 15
