I am trying to install Runes of Magic for my Windows 7 partition on Mac. I downloaded Runes of Magic from the official site, the full 7 GB download. When it's installed, and I open RoM, the window shows the inactive 'start game' button and the download and update bars. When both bars begin downloading, the download bar would reach 100% first and then a windows would show (Client.exe) showing a downloading process (I'm assuming of patches), and then the RoM application would quit and reopen. However, once it opens the update bar would automatically be at 30%, and the download bar would begin downloading from 0%, but the download bar would always reach 100% first, and then the program would quit and reopen, and the cycle would begin all over again.
I've heard that RoM would take a long time to download and install completely, but is this what happens? I don't see an end to it, though the files are definitely being installed, because the Client.exe application would show a bunch being installed before the application quitting and RoM reopening. If there is something wrong, could someone help me on it? Can someone give me a short guide on how to install RoM on Windows 7? I'm really grateful for any help, and please don't tell me to ditch the game, give me sympathy, or restart the entire downloading/installing process again. I've done it 3 times already.
Please give me relevant and non-crappy answers.
