Rune Factory Frontier help 2 questions sorry!?

Okay I LOOOOOVE THIS GAME! >_<
And I was watching some vids about all these like...events with characters.
So one thing I'd like to know is...
Like.............do the events HAVE to happen by a certain time?
Example:
Eunice getting skinny.
I know you have to have her to 4 hearts and stuff by winter of your first year. Well I mean, It's FALL of my first year, and I HAVE NOTHING ON HER!!!
So I mean, if I get her to 4 hearts in maybe my 2nd year will the event not happen?
2nd Question:
How can I make a "Rune Stone"?
I need one to open up that big door in the cave of Whale Island. Is that how you get to the black Iris?
Either way, I just wanna open it, and I need a Rune Stone...and I dunno how to get one...so help please!!!

1. I'm almost positive you will still be able to get that event with Eunice.

2. You get Rune Stones by bringing a certain amount of one type of runey to Candy. I forget how many runeys you need, but just ask her and she'll tell you. (Also that is not how you get Iris Noire a.k.a Black Iris. I won't tell you how to do it just in case you want to figure it out yourself)
