run and bike to lose weight?

i need to lose some serious weight. i weigh 180 and i want to get to like 120 no matter what. ive decided to run and cycle for my exercise. I was thinking if i jogged 30 mins the did cycling for 30 min will this make me lose some weight. Im eating about 1000 calories a day and i want to know if this will make me lose weight. Also you if have any other way to lose weight please dont hesitate to tell me. also how many calories will i burn?
