they both are like the same phone.
They both have 2MP pic/camcorder, no flash, mp3, and stream youtube, 3g speed/type (1xEV-DO), resolutions about the same, A-GPS support (makes more accurate). BBerry Curve 8530 has 528Mhz preocessor. i found out that the rumor touch isn't a smart phone and has no processor. According to wiki, a smart phone needs a processor so that there's an open platform like linux/windows so people can make programs/apps for the phone. I think it allows the phone to have wi-fi also which 8530 has and rumor touch doesn't. not having a processor shouldn't effect the general speed/smoothness of the 3g internet or the phone's general functions or even games-i think
rumor touch needs a sd card reader to transfer music/pics to a computer. Also, i plan on keeping phone untill something breaks and the touchscreen is probably the first thing to break, but its $40 cheaper right now
