Rumor - OS 4.2 on Tmo for 8700 Mid to Late Sept

A friend told me today that they heard from TMo that the newest OS, 4.2 will be available for the 8700 in Mid to Late September. My guess is, in line or just after the rumored Pearl release on Sept 18th. I can not wait... Hope the rumor is true.

I will be checking Tmo's website as much as possible in a few weeks.
 
The evidence has started creeping up in the lastest 8700 OSs.
The Vendor.xml file from the O2 Europe .351 OS (might have been released a few days after the Bharti)
mentions a TMO US 4.2.0.53 OS.
 
any specifics on which carriers will or will not upgrade immediately. I always seem to break my BB and have to reload it every time i put another carrier's os on it.
sounds good though. I can't wait!
 
Ok, so it is not yet mid to late September.... but I am not a patient person. I logged on to Tmo's website today and checked as it is at least September, no new OS yet. I will try to check at least weekly and if no one else has already done it, I will post as soon as I find it.

What we do know is that it is supposed to open up the media options for the good ol 8700.
