RUMOR: Is This The Actual Test Footage For The Shelved Thundercats Film?

Once again tumblr gives me intriguing news well before I would've gotten it by myself. Flixist.com posted some interesting things pertaining to the the CGI Thundercats movie that's been kicking around in development hell.



Hmm. I was never really a Thundercats guy either, but this looks rather cheesy. If it's even real to begin with that is. I just thought I'd share it with you to see what you guys think.

I would say Fake but Hollywood loves to run things .......

It does not fell like any of the Thundercats episodes it is so out of character
 
I don't know if it's fake, or not, but Lion-O was a child in an adults body due to growing up in suspened animation. They played with this idea in the 1st few episodes of Thundercats, but then it seems to have been forgotten. So having him play with the Sword of Omens is in character.
 
It looks like it could be legit test footage as it matches the concept art leaked a year or two ago and it looks like something that wouldn't be too cheap to do just for fun. Of course, now they are just going with the cartoon series and seeing how that takes off before doing a movie of any sort.
 
If this is the footage I saw the other day (Lion-O goofing around with the Sword), I don't understand the negativity. This looked to be a good take on an update, keeping the core idea but removing the hamminess. I even laughed at the joke at the end.
