Rule about definite integration?

I'm trying to remember a rule about definite integrals, but I'm not 100% sure if its correct.

Ex. Integral of f(x) dx from [a,b] , however a > b.

The answer will be a negative area. To get a positive area, do you just switch [a,b] to [b,a] and put a negative sign on the outside of the integral?

Thanks!
