Ruby-Spears is . . . . complicated.
While the original studio was bought by Taft and later Turner along with Hanna-Barbera, in the late-90s, a new Ruby-Spears was founded, and they co-produced Mega Man and Skysurfer Strike Force. They're still around, though
their website hasn't been updated since 2002, so, it's hard to say whether they're still working and such.
Film Roman is still around and a vibrant part of the Starz Media family of studios. They still provide animation services for The Simpsons, and they still produce the occasional series from time to time.
Sp?mc? isn't around anymore. It shut down in 2005. John Kricfalusi owns all the characters from the studio. Well, most of them (Nickelodeon/Viacom owns Ren and Stimpy).
It got sold to Marvel (the United Artists shorts series they produced [including the Pink Panther, The Ant and the Aardvark, The Inspector, and Tijuana Toads] are owned by MGM, the Warner Bros. shorts they made are owned by Warner Bros., and the Mr. Magoo shorts are owned by Classic Media), who sold it to Saban Entertainment during Marvel's bankruptcy era, and now owned by Disney after they bought Fox Kids Worldwide, who absorbed Saban Entertainment in its assets. And now, ironically, Disney is in the process of owning Marvel now, so they're about to be one big happy family again.
