Hi, Folks:
Rogers tech wasn't able to help me so in an effort to diagnose, I have a favour to ask of the Rogers EDGE users out there, and 3G users as well if there are any. I am trying to view my IP camera through my Curve 8900 on EDGE. The live video stream (3GP rtsp) works just fine on it with WiFi, however, I can't with EDGE.
If any of you have a half a minute to spare, with WiFi disabled, Please point your EDGE/3G blackberry to http://myycam.dtdns.net:8150/mobile and then click 3GPP Stream Live (at this point your media player will launch and you will likely be prompted to swith to WAP for media streaming (if prompting is set to on). Click OK.
I've disabled authentication so logging in won't be necessary. What you should see (daylight hours of course) is a front porch, driveway, & garden etc. It should be streaming live (clock in the top left will be counting if you don't see wind blowing objects etc.)
Please post your results, along with your BB model, connection (3G, Edge etc) and perhaps if you're in a major city (I'm a ways from a cell tower and am wondering...). I've had tech support for the IP Camera (Y-Cam.com) in the UK view my IP cameras live stream successfully on their Storm but I want to confirm if users on Rogers can do this before I go back to Rogers to escalate.
I can stream rtsp from m.youtube.com without problems, just not from my IP cam.
Thanks in advance!
Jay
