Whenever I'm stop I see that my RPM meter is at 1. Shouldnt it start at 0? Is this a problem or is it normal? I have a 03 Lincoln Ls V8

if its at 0 then you have a problem, mine is at 800 when im stopped, and goes up to 6800 before redline.

HI
The RPM meter measures the speed of your motor not the movement of the car that is the speedometer. So if the motor is running then the meter well show what it is running at..
good luck
Tim

Your RPM meter measures revolutions per minute. If your engine is running it is turning so your measuring what your engine is doing at idle. If it started at 0 your engine would not be running. It is normal.

No your car is perfectly normal. RPM is revolutions per minute, whenever the car's crankshaft (the main drive section of your car) spins the RPM goes up. when you change gears you can notice that it goes down then resumes its way up. so dont worry its all normal!!
