Rough Idle on 2004 Ford Explorer?

My 2004 Ford Explorer has been idling rough for about three weeks now. I took it to a local service center yesterday and they gave it a "tune-up" which included changing the spark plugs and wires. When this didn't fix the problem, they did some research and found that a Technical Service Bulletin had been put out on 2004-2005 Explorers that stated the internal computer needs recalibrating. I took it to the Ford dealership for this today and this still did not fix the problem. Also, after they did this I discovered that when my air is on the front vents only, every 30 seconds it stops coming out of the front vent (the ones that blow on the driver/passenger) and starts blowing out of the defrost vents, and then it switches back and this goes on and on until I turn the air off. I'm going to take it back for this air problem, but what do you think might be causing the rough idle? Any suggestions from a professional? THanks!
