First and foremost me and a good friend have been keeping, breeding, rescuing + re-homing Rottweilers + Akita's ( and the odd other breed ) for years so its not as if i'm not accustomed to to them or there ways but i have rescued a gorgeous Rotty bitch who i really want to keep for myself as she is pretty damn big for a bitch. She is not at all fat she's really athletic build, big head, perfect markings with no throw back from any cross breeding in her bloodline, very loving and makes an awesome guard dog. She goes bonkers when she needs too and i'm in security so thats perfect for me BUT!!!!!!!! When she is in the car she will not shut up. She constantly yaps ands moans, and i do mean constantly, and loud too, and no amount of shouting or hand gestures or diversionary tactics or bribery seem to work.
I do on average at least 80 ( rush hour ) miles a day with the dog on board and its wrecking my head now.
Looking for suggestions from others who've dealt with similar or could recommend a product or something that works.
Really would love to keep her as she had a pretty rough time before i got her and the pups off her and the stud would be superb dogs but i'm at the point where i'll have to stop taking her to work and if she cant earn her keep then she will have to go, so please if you can help me out before i loose the plot then do.
Many thanks.

Have you tried getting a crate for her to ride in the car? It will make her feel more safe and secure and hopefully help her to keep quiet.

You can put the crate in your boot or the back seat of your car, put some blankets in to make it comfy for her and some chew toys to occupy her.

If she is still making a fuss, you could try covering the crate with a thin blanket so that she can't see the other cars, people, etc.

Start back at basics.
put her in the car, get her out and reward (cos she didnt make a noise).
next time put her in and shut the car then open back up and reward.
Put her in and start the ca, reward
put her in and move the car forwards, reward
put her in and take a very short drive, reward
put her in and take a bit longer drive ect ect Keep building up and rewarding the quiet but ignoring the noise and she'll get the idea. May take a couple of weeks but she'll get there in the end
