This was done about a year ago, and Coraline was only released this January. If this was done only recently, Coraline should be around the top 35 range.

Also saddened by a lack of Mask of the Phantasm, which got an 87% on the site and was actually released theatrically. Of course, since it only had a limited release for a few days, this shouldn't be THAT surprising.

You don't think Toy Story 2 is a decent movie?

And you realize that Rotten Tomatoes actually catalouges opinions from several other sites, so occusing it of being biased does'nt make much sense.

Anywho, my problems with the list:

Shrek 2 and The Simpsons movie should not be on here.

Lack of foreign films (no Animal Farm? No Fantastic Planet? No Allegro Non Troppo?). This is actually explainable, considering that RT mostly catalouges English-language reviews.

Not even one Don Bluth movie. C'mon, people...

Ratatouille's a little too high for my tastes, Lion King's a little too low.

It's nice to see "The Triplets of Belleville" and "Persepolis" on the list. Personally, I'd have "Triplets" in the top ten, but that's me.

Now for the negative things: Personally, I think that there's a certain lack of European animation on the list. Where's the aforementioned "Fantastic Planet"? Or "Kirikou and the Sorceress"? Both of those could easily replace "Shrek 2" and "The Simpsons Movie".

What more? I like "Toy Story 2", more than I liked the first movie actually, but I don't think it should be #1. Finally, is "Snow White" really that great? (it's been ages since I watched it, so I can't remember) or is it only #2 because of it's historical importance (being Disney's first animated feature and all that)?

No.

Anyway, it's decent, but it bugs me that certain films are lower than they should be, such as Cinderella and Kung Fu Panda (yes I liked it a lot...). The Simpsons Movie being there bugs me...

Bear in mind that the list is based on statistics (specifically, the amount of positive reviews on RT), so it's going to have a leaning towards recent, English-language and widely distributed films. To put things in context, South Park: BLU is rated at 81% across 93 reviews, while Kirikou has a higher rating - 96% - but only 20 reviews.

I don't think Toy Story 2 was bad, but it's not a decent film to me. The film was “Meh”, a good “Meh”. But it doesn't beat Toy Story 1.

A decent Animated film to me are like Mulan, Tarzan, or even Akria. A animated film that's Good enough to watch and enjoy the film. More likely a B- to a A - film.

Well, while some of Snow White's fame certainly comes from historical importance, I think it's a good film and is well worth being in the top ten. I'm aware that there are a lot of people who don't think it aged that well, though.

I've just realized there are no Ralph Bakshi films on here either.

It isn't as bad as other Top animated films lists I've seen. Though, I'm not sure if I would put Shrek there since I really didn't think it was that good. I also would have had The Lion King in the top fifteen or so and maybe Lady and the Tramp a bit lower on the list too.

While I do like Toy Story 2 and it is one of the best animated sequels I've seen, I don't think I would put it at number one either. Top ten or fifteen sounds a bit better to me, but I'm not sure what I would put in at number one.

The first Toy Story should be #1, it was way better than the sequel. South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut deserves to be way higher. Lilo and Stitch was better than Shrek IMO. But it's still a pretty good list. :)
