I've recently seen this again on the tv - what a creepy film it is with a feeling of menace all the way through. I felt sorry for Rosemary (Mia Farrow) trying to protect her unborn baby.

At first, my back was flat against the seat when I saw this in the cinema.
Rigid.
After a while, I sort of slumped down in the seat

You are right, 'menace' is the word.

It's years since I saw it, but the bit that horrified me the most was the way she "cooked" that steak - and then ate it virtually raw!

That has stuck in my mind more than any of the proper horror in the film.

Look out for the remake coming... terrible.

I like this film a lot, very creepy.

Another to watch out for, directed and starring Polanski, is The Tenant.

I've yet to see the tv sequel - Look What Happened to Rosemary's Baby.

IIRC it was released on VHS
