Rosario Vampire any good?

After reading the first chapter in Shonen I decided to get the first volume of Rosario Vampire. I thought the following three chapters were okay. I didnt enjoy them as much as the first chapter but they werent bad. Anyway, for those who have read it are the future volumes worth checking out or should I just stop collecting? I have read plenty of manga that got way better in future volumes but I am not to sure about this one.

Can someone confirm a spoiler for me:

The MC does become a vampire in an early volume.

If so, that is a really interesting development that I wasn`t suspecting, and I would consider collecting this one. Is it still going in japan? How many volumes so far?

So yeah I didn't find many threaRAB on this series, and this is a question about the anime, not the manga, but has anyone heard about there possibly being a third season?

It is okay, I am a big fan of the manga. I don't love it like I do other mangas like Fairy Tail and Bleach. But still enjoyable

I think the sequel manga is better than the original, the first volume comes out in April in the U.S.

As for the anime, it is not have as good as the manga, especially the absence of the main villains from the first manga. But it is watchable, though they over do it with fan service, but the music is awesome. But I like the anime, but I love the manga. Hokuto and Kiria were interesting character that I wanted to see in the anime, though Hokuto looks a little too much like Sosuke Aizen. I wish VIZ would dub the anime. And as I said on another thread, if dubbed they should air it on ani monday. It is way better than that Darkness series they aired recentely.

Considering Gonzo's downsizing and reorganization, a third season is unlikely at this point. I wouldn't even want another season to be made, considering how bad the second season was, IMO (overloaded with fanservice and a lack of any real plot).

If another R+V anime is to be made, it neeRAB to be a restart that is more respectful to the manga story.

I agree, funny thing as I mentioned earlier, I like the second manga better than the first, though I loved the first manga as well, Hokuto and Kiria were great charcters and I loved the story in the first manga, but I am really intriguted in the main story in the second manga and to see what happens with the Fairy Tale storyline, and also the Fong family, they are like the VizarRAB of the story, though not nearly as cool.

I like the second manga better than first, while the I perfer season one of the anime over season two, go figure. Though one obvious reason is Kokoa, the way I feel about her manga and anime counterparts are night and day. Like all of the characters, I love her in the manga, she slowly become one of my favorites, (hopefully she shows up soon when our heros need help the most against those Fairy Tale goons), but in the anime she is such a brat, I can't stand her.

If VIZ ever dubs the anime, you know who should voice Tsukune, Spike Spencer. I could totally picture him providing the voice of that character. The thought of Hanataro being a chick magnet is too funny. I have always Johnny Yong Bosch voicing Saizou. So right than in episode 1, Hanataro standing up and confronting Ichigo.

Rosario+Vampire ay...well to put it simply

Anime season 1=OK
Anime season 2=Sub-par (cool opening though,)

MANGA=AWSOME! PWNS ALL makes anime look like steaming pile of....well you get the idea..The Manga is Great...The Anime....Not so much.

Eh, I watched it for the fanserivce so I don't know how to accurately judge it since I have very little knowledge of the manga.

Hardcore fans say its a pretty bad adaptation though.

That's misleading. While Tsukune only temporarily turns into a vampire, he's permanently (as far as I know) a ghoul.

Anyway, the manga does get better, but you'll have to go a few volumes in to get to the really good parts.

Overall, the manga is good, but not great, and it's only really as praised as it is here because there's the bad anime to compare it to.
